I have ordered an Android phone and hope to start coding for the android software in good time. I will be coding for the iPod and iPhone but with support for 2.0 sdk getting smaller and having to jump through hoops just to get anything done I might stop updating my apps.
I will never own an iPhone because of the price is way too high and the open nature of the android system is too good to miss. With their market share also growing and the ability to reach more people I might be able to make a living of it if I start well. With the one off fee of $25 compared to iPhone with $99 a year you can see why it is a very good option and I will then be able to advertise my apps.
I will be continuing to code on the iPod for at least for the first part of the year until the last bits of ad support drops out and then there is no point continuing as I will not be receiving any thing for my work. With not receiving a single donation of any size I'm starting to wonder if the jailbreak community is that good. Ok it got me started but it is not easy to get started that's for sure.
If interest starts to pick up then I would make more small games and apps but as things stand it is not looking too good. But it could all change if you can get more people on iPhone bash. I was thinking of a way to have a way to challenge other people so get playing and/or donating and I will make it happen that is a promise and a new game maybe.
Oh if anyone wanted to know the reason I have to code for 2.0 is because of a requirement by the host of the apps.
Happy Easter lol!!
